Celebrating Successful Appeals

The Girl Scouts of The Nation’s Capital had been using a standard letter format in a #10 window envelope for their annual appeal. The appeal was struggling to break even, with a cost per dollar raised in the eighty cent range.

The Palmer team suggested a humble card in an A-7 envelope with carefully segmented data. In 2012, when the philanthropic environment was still recovering, their cost per dollar raised plummeted and the appeal resulted in a net revenue of over $52,000.00

This demonstrates how an appeal created with a compelling image, inspiring, well-written copy and the simple feel of a black and white correspondence can produce amazing results.
